Lodge receives a lecture on heraldry & Masonry

On Tuesday 4th July, the Royal Yorkshire Lodge was given a lecture on the historic links between heraldry and freemasonry. The talk was given by Bro Peter Clarke who had developed an interest in heraldry over a number of years. The talk cover a number of aspects of prominent masonic heraldry, including how the coat of arms of the United Grand Lodge of England encompassed the arms of both the Antient and Premier Grand Lodges of England. Bro Clarke went on to explain that anyone wanting to learn more about heraldry should look at the CUHAGS website. The Master congratulated Bro Clarke on a very interesting talk.

The meeting was followed by an excellent festive board that was enjoyed by the brethren.
