On Sunday 12th November brethren of the Royal Yorkshire lodge along with members of the armed forces, youth organisations, civic dignatories and the people of Keighley participated in the annual service of rememberance. The service included a parade to Keighley Shared Church where a Service of Rememberance was held to honour those who had served in the armed forces and fallen in service of their country.
The Worshipful Master Bro Tony Edgar joined Civic Dignatories and other VIPs as part of the day. The Lodge also honoured the fallen by laying a wreath on the cenotaph as part of the ceromony. The Senior Warden Bro Neil Armitage described the ceromony as “a humbling experience”.
After the ceromony the brethren opened up the lodge rooms for members of the public to have a look around the Masonic Hall and to have tea and buscuits.
The brethren who attended the ceromony (from left to right) were WBro Tony Edgar, WBro David Paley, WBro Graham Lake, Bro Neil Armitage & Bro James Aslam-Armitage. Photo courtesy of Toni Armitage.
