In a ceromony on Tuesday 3rd April 2018 the Royal Yorkshire Lodge held a ceromony to celebrate 50 years membership of Worshipful Brother Leslie Allinson. The certificate was presented by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master Stuart Grantham, who described it as “an honour to be able to present such a certificate”. The meeting was made even more special by the fact that Leslie’s Proposer, WBro Douglas Weston, was able to attend. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master discussed WBro Allinsons life, achievements and Masonic Career. He concluded with saying WBro Allinson was “a credit to the craft”.
WBro Leslie, who joined the Royal Yorkshire Lodge on the 2nd April 1968, and has been in the Chair twice. He described the event as a “fantastic evening”. The Worshipful Master, WBro Neil Armitage went on to thank WBro Allinson for all the support he had given him over the years. The evening was concluded with an excellent Festive Board which saw 11 visitors from 9 different Lodges.
