On Tuesday 5th April, the Royal Yorkshire Lodge conducted a ceremony of passing for Bro Ian Rowland. Bro Rowland had recently been initiated into the lodge but had expressed an interest to join prior to the covid pandemic. Bro Rowland said it “was a great privelige to be able to take the next step in my Masonic journey”.
The ceremony was well attended and was performed to a high standard. The Master Bro David Key thanked the officers, especially those who had stepped in at the last minute to perform roles. He went on to say he was proud to a strong team of officers supporting him.
At the ceremony three new members were also proposed. The lodge also supported a number of charitable applications to the Provincial Fund including Dementia Friendly Keighley and Silsden Library. WBro Chris Wilcock who made the propositions described all the applicants as “very worthy causes”. The meeting was concluded with a four course festive board.
