On Friday 6th May, the Royal Yorkshire Lodge conducted a ceremony of Initiation for Mr Dominic Atlas. Dominic first approached the Lodge before the Covid pandemic and had kept in touch throughout. During this period he was able to meet the members of the lodge and develop his interest in freemasonry and the lodge. Due to the fact that he had been balloted before the pandemic, he had to be re-balloted as a candidate as his candidacy had lapsed.

The ceremony was attended by a number of brethren and was followed by an excellent festive board. The Master WBro David Key said it was great to finally be able to welcome Bro Atlas to the lodge after such a long time. Bro Atlas described the evening as “very special and well worth the wait”.

The Festive Board was a 3 course meal and was well attended. The lodge also held a raffle in aid of the provincial Ukrainian appeal.
