On Tuesday 2nd August the Lodge presented a Jubilee certificate to WBro Mike Ryan, who had been a member of the lodge for a number of years. The presentation of a Jubilee certificate is a very special occasion and rare occasion that not many would have witnessed.

The certificate should have been presented by W.Bro. David Jackson back in 2019 but the Covid pandemic meant that wasn’t possible. W.Bro. Ryan gave a brief history and account of his early years and lengthy service within Masonry. How his Father had proposed him and he
became a Lewis. He noted that many things had changed over the years and Ritual seemed to be applied differently. He went on to say that he moved around the country due to different employment and eventually settled in Yorkshire.

He explained his progress within the Province and became a Lodge Liaison Officer for the lodge and how he progressed to become a member. In 2019 he was very pleased to receive the Provincial Honour of PPSGW in recognition of his service to Masonry. The evening was concluded with an excellent festive board that was well attended.
